Why breakfast is very important

Indian breakfast is very important meal of the day so we are going to talk about breakfast list in India. Always make your breakfast healthy and heavy. In a typical morning it’s very easy to follow a breakfast routine daily basis.

We have all heard that old saying about breakfast being at the top of the meal time hierarchy. Breakfast is the time when our body needs the nutrients and energy most. So That’s why breakfast should be heavy and well balanced.

But because of this busy schedule we most of Indians can’t have morning breakfast Or else we skip it. That is why I have come up with a list of breakfast in India to avoid skipping healthy breakfast.

If you are bored of Idli, Dosa, eggs, paratha etc, then in the list there are varieties of food, taste everything.

7. Besan chilla

If you want a vegetarian version of omelets or bored of Dosa then if yes try this besan chilla. Also It is one of the healthy option with complex carbohydrates, protein which is important for breakfast. Recipe below-

  • Gram flour (1cup)
  • Water
  • Onion
  • Tomato
  • Rock salt
  • Turmeric powder
  • Ginger paste
  • Coriander leaves

Also you can add more vegetables and spices according to use make it exact like omelets.

Mix all the ingredients together then make a little liquid batter then add some mustard oil on pan. Then put 2 table spoon batter and pan fry it like an omelets. Cook it until it’s well done. Then have it with curd or chutney.

6. Tamarind Rice

It also calls Pulihora in South India. It is very tasty, tangy and healthy also. This also has complex carbohydrates, Healthy fats and protein. It’s a well balanced and healthy breakfast. Recipe below –

  • Semi Brown rice (1/2 Cup)
  • Cow ghee
  • Mustard seed
  • Curry leaves
  • Peanuts (1 handful)
  • Tumeric
  • Rock salt
  • Asafoetida
  • Tamarind water

After making the masala with ghee, curry leaves, peanuts, turmeric rock salt asafetida Then pore the tamarind water in it. Temper until it’s thickness. At last add rice. It’s ready now.

5. Shake

This is very simple it has 3 ingredients, almost no cooking, ideal for recipe below –

  • Soaked almonds ( not many).
  • Ripe banana. (2-3)
  • Warm milk 1 glass.

Make a shake out of it. It is so powerful that you won’t feel Hungry till lunch. But don’t drink it too fast, go slowly with it.

4. Sweet Rice

If you are feeling to eat some thing sweeter then this is my best suggestions. If you are getting late for work? Or don’t know cooking? No skill required. Recipe below-

  • 1/2 Cup semi Brown rice and boil.
  • Ghee.
  • Jaggery powder.
  • Soaked Almonds.

It’s too tasty and amazing. Please do try that.

3. Indian breakfast Curd Rice

  • Constipation
  • Bloating

  • Stomach ache
  • Any digestion related problem.

  • 1/2 Cup brown rice.
  • Mustard oil.

  • Cumin seeds.

  • Ragi flour
  • Water
  • Rock salt

Make a paste with water and Ragi flour, then take a pan add water, rock salt, and Ragi paste then cook it for little longer. Pore it in a glass then add curd. This is a gluten free, rich in fibre, vitamins & minerals, amino acids, perfect for weight loss. Also this a time saver recipe.

1. Kaju Upma one of the popular Indian breakfast

Upma is one of the favourite breakfast of maximum Indians. It is again easy to make, very tasty, very healthy. If you can a nice Upma then it could taste better than pasta. Recipe below-

  • Cow ghee
  • Cumin
  • Ginger
  • Onion
  • Curry leaves
  • Rock salt
  • Tomatoes

  • Broken wheat

Keep a pan on low flame, then add one after one 1tbsp cow ghee, cumin seed 1/2 tbsp grated ginger, onion, curry leaves, turmeric, rock salt, tomatoes, a hand full cashew, mix all well add water. Put 1/2 a cup broken wheat then mix it well and keep it on flame until unless it’s gets thicker.
