Happy Devshayani Ekadashi 2021, The Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadha is called Ashadhi Ekadashi. It is also known as Devshayani Ekadashi, Harishayani and Padmanabha Ekadashi. According to the English calendar, Ashadhi Ekadashi falls in the month of June or July.

The period of four months from Ashadh Shukla Ekadashi to Kartik Shukla Ekadashi is considered as Harishyan period. The combined name of these four months of rain is given as Chaturmas. During this, all the festivals, fasts, fasting, sadhana, worship, chanting and tapas performed, their vast form is called ‘Chaturmasya’ in a word. Chaturmasya gives an understanding of the time period of four months and Chaturmasya gives an overall understanding of all the fasts and festivals observed during this time.

Devshayani Ekadashi 2021, After cleaning the place of worship, the idol of Lord Vishnu should be placed on the seat and worship of God should be done.

Offer yellow clothes, yellow flowers, yellow sandalwood to Lord Vishnu. Decorate conch shell, chakra, mace and padma in his hands.
